L.I.E.D. Composition Competition 2023-2024
New Art Songs for children and youth
The L.I.E.D. Composition Competition seeks to expand the Art Song repertoire available to young performers with works by contemporary composers. In Art Song, the fusion of poetry and musical language results in storytelling delivered by both the pianist and the vocalist. The competition aims to discover compositions that honour the essence of Art Song, while considering the age and skill level of the performers.
The Grande Finale will be held on the 23rd of November 2024, during the national Art Song for Children and Youth event at the Conservatory of Helsinki.
